The Full Story

I’ve always been someone who’s looked at life a little differently. My journey of self-discovery has taught me that, over and over again. Like a camera obscura– I take in my environment, reflect it inward, and formulate a new perspective based on my surroundings. Through my art I've found ways to express how I perceive the world, and relay it back to those around me. Whether it’s photography, drawing, or constructing installation art, I am learning more about myself with each piece; and with each creation– I expand. I've learned that when I create, I am putting my inner world into another form and translating it through symbols; a language my conscious mind can conceive into tangible means. Like I've said before– language can only go so far. With my work, I've been able to inspire others to see their surroundings with a renewed essence– yes there is a theme here. I’ve learned more about myself through my own creative process than I thought imaginable. With what I've learned, I get to share that with others, and that I am grateful for. Some who sought it outright, and others who got more than what they bargained for!

My journey has consisted of working in treatment centers with adults and adolescents, focused on substance abuse and mental health. These experiences have helped me expand upon what I thought it could mean to "get better." Each path has led me to vital information I have been able to compound and integrate into who I am today; who I get to be tomorrow, and so on and so forth a million times forward.

I've had my art in galleries, shared with loved ones, and kept for my own personal process. I continue to create for self growth, and the opportunity to impact others- the chance to provide a refreshed outlook on how to view life. To change the lens of how one has seen the mundane, and making it remarkable– that feels like a gift. Because that is what life has become for me, something truly curated by the way I perceive it, and take it in. With that, I hope you take the chance, the opportunity– to know, see and feel, that life can be different– a revived sense of self.
